Active Schools Project Manager (PM)

• Plan and coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of the Active Schools Support Service
• Provide leadership, quality management and project reporting to meet the goals of the Active Schools Framework

Location – WFH and attend ACHPER Victoria’s office at LaTrobe University Bundoora campus for scheduled meetings as determined

0.5 Full Time Equivalent Maximum Term Contract (Oct 2021 – Dec 30 2022)
$121,000 – $136,400 pa incl. superannuation (pro rata at 0.5 FTE)

ACHPER Victoria requires an experienced individual who understands schools and/or the sporting landscape to act as the Project Manager for the Active Schools Support Service. Reporting directly to the Project Director, this individual will be working closely with the Technical Lead on all aspects of the project.

Project Management qualifications and experience (Prince2 or Agile methodologies preferred) and experience in planning and managing projects, including the coordination of the workforce and internal resources, overseeing outputs and adapting work as required is a must.

Active Schools Administration Support Officer (ASO)

• Provide administrative support to the project leads and expert support services staff
• Liaise with schools, educators and community/sporting organisations

Location – WFH and attend ACHPER Victoria’s office at LaTrobe University Bundoora campus for scheduled meetings as determined

0.6 Full Time Equivalent Maximum Term Contract (Oct 2021 – Dec 30 2022)
$82,500 per annum including superannuation

This role will report to the Project Director within ACHPER Victoria and work closely with the Technical Lead and additional Business Support members within the organisation to deliver on outcomes within the initiative. The Administration Support Officer will be required to deliver professional customer service relating to the Active Schools Support Service via telephone and email, as well as monitoring and maintaining accurate customer data through ACHPER Victoria’s Association Management software.

An understanding of and experience in education and/or sport sectors is desirable. You will have strong and demonstrated organisational and administrative skills, excellent communication and excellent interpersonal skills.

Active Schools Physical Education Leaders (PELs)

• Provide individualised mentoring and support to DET schools as they develop and implement strategies in one or more of the Key Priorities within the Active Schools Framework.
• Work with schools to identify their needs and collaborate to implement the Active Schools Framework based on school and local community context.

Location – WFH and face to face program delivery with a specified region

8 x 1.0 Full Time Equivalent Maximum Term Contracts (Oct 2021 – Dec 30 2022) 76 hours per fortnight (part time negotiable, minimum 0.5 FTE)
$111,232 – $126,500 per annum including superannuation

ACHPER Victoria requires eight experienced teachers to provide support to government Primary, Secondary and Special Education schools and teachers as Physical Education Leaders (PELs) for the Active Schools Support Service. PELs will provide expert assistance to schools that is aligned with the Active Schools Framework, with particular emphasis on building physical education expertise across schools. Experience engaging with other schools, networks, community and sporting organisations to develop and promote movement opportunities for students is essential. Physical Education Leaders are required to be registered teachers with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and have recent experience (within the last 5 years) teaching physical, health and/or sport education in a primary, secondary or special school setting and have a current Driver’s License.

Active Schools Extracurricular Coordinators (ECs)

• Implement extracurricular programs to meet the needs of secondary school students which link to the local community.
• Contribute to cross-agency and sector collaboration, promoting and facilitating with relevant DET and school staff, community organisations, health and sport sector stakeholders and other government organisations.

Location – WFH and face to face program delivery with a specified region

4 x 1.0 Full Time Equivalent Maximum Term Contracts (Oct 2021 – Dec 30 2022) 76 hours per fortnight (part time negotiable, minimum 0.5 FTE)
$93,500 – $111,232 per annum including superannuation

ACHPER Victoria requires four Extracurricular Coordinators (ECs) to guide and mentor government Secondary schools to organise and coordinate extracurricular activities (before, during breaks and after school hours). The ECs will focus on implementing extracurricular programs to meet the needs of the students and develop links with local community and sporting organisations.

Experience building and promoting extracurricular activities in school and community settings and knowledge of enablers and barriers to adolescents being active, understanding of methods to address barriers, and knowledge of a diversity of opportunities which appeal to young people is essential.

Extracurricular Coordinators are required to be registered teachers with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) OR have a minimum of a Diploma in a Sports or Recreation field. Recent experience (within the last 5 years) teaching physical, health and/or sport education in secondary schools OR working in a sport/community recreation organisation directly engaging with adolescents and a current Driver’s License is required.
